Marc Cucurella, a Chelsea player, was in the middle of an uproar in a match between Spain and Germany in a Euro 2024 qualifier match. Off late, the incident has led to speaking about the players and particularly the manners that they choose to exhibit in the field or the game.

During the match, again, a shot from German midfielder Jamal Musiala hit Cucurella’s left hand. This decision made many fans and users raise eyebrows, especially with the reaction of Cucurella, who looked visibly shaken during the occasion, and therefore many questions arose concerning the reaction and the non-call.

Viewers and critics could not resist the urge to voice out their disappointment in the referee on social media. Some supporters claimed that handball by Cucurella should lead to the awarding of a penalty and expressed concerns about inconsistency in the refereeing in crucial games. To which, after the match, Cucurella said in press: “Mamma Mia, I wet my pants.” This is to show the pressure that he undergoes. His joke, though it made the situation lighter, did not make the people stop from critiquing the event that had happened.
